Your motif

Your motif goes in the middle of the bottom, if you want one. Describe it, build it yourself or upload your logo. You don't need a finished file.

We can't accept someone else's logo, coat of arms or character.

Preview and finished mug

Text, size and placement come out exactly as in the preview. The glaze sits around your text and the rim, which both stay unglazed, and turns out a little different every time. Photos of real orders will follow.

From idea to mug

  1. Design

    Choose text, font, glaze and motif. The preview shows your bottom right away. You approve it when you order.

  2. Made in Marburg

    We make mugs in rounds, starting once enough are in, no later than two weeks after your order. A round takes 2 to 3 days. Clay, glaze, wooden box and packaging come from Germany.

  3. Wooden box & shipping

    Your mug travels bedded in wood wool in its wooden box, well padded in a shipping box. The wooden box is built by Lahnholz in Marburg.

Frequently asked questions

How long until the mug arrives?

We make mugs in rounds, starting once enough are in, no later than two weeks after your order. A round takes 2 to 3 days, plus shipping.

Can the mug go in the dishwasher?

Yes. Hand washing keeps the glaze in the pattern's recesses flawless for longer.

What can I put on the bottom?

A short text along the rim, a name or year in the middle, and a motif if you like. Everything stands raised and stays unglazed; the bottom around it is glazed, so photos and color gradients don't work.

Will my mug look exactly like the preview?

The bottom, yes: text, size and placement match exactly, because the preview comes from the same template and fonts as your bottom. After you order, you get the same picture again by email.

The glaze, no. Color and surface vary from mug to mug, so the preview and photos are only a guide. See how much they can differ under Preview and finished mug above.

Can I return a personalized mug?

No. Personalized mugs are made to your specifications and excluded from the right of withdrawal (Section 312g (2) No. 1 BGB). Until production starts, we'll change or cancel your order as a courtesy and refund you in full; your rights for defects are unaffected. Details in the terms (German).

Where do the mug and the materials come from?

Made in Germany: we make and pack in Marburg. The wooden box is built by Lahnholz in Marburg from local wood; more on Instagram. Clay, glazes, wood wool and cardboard come from Germany.

Only within Germany for now. Payment goes through Stripe: card, PayPal, Link, Amazon Pay or Klarna. See Shipping & payment.
